まず、テキストを見ないで、一度聞いてみましょう。

音源を聞きながら口の中でブツブツつぶやいてみましょう。
Step③：意味理解
スクリプトを見てわからない単語表現構文などを明確にしましょう。
Step④：パラレル・リーディング
音源を聞きながらテキストを音読しましょう。
Step⑤：プロソディ・シャドーイング
聞こえてくる音源を聞きながら、できるだけ正確に英語で再現しましょう。
Step⑥：コンテンツ・シャドーイング
音がある程度とれてきたら、意識を意味に向けてみましょう。

I wonder if Aliens exist.
And if they do, I wonder what they’re like.
I find it hard to believe that Aliens like the ones we see in movies exist, with crazy technology, and powerful weapons.
Although it is fun to read stories, watch movies and play video games about them.
Aliens in series like Star Wars, Star Trek, and Avatar are exciting.
Then there are also the scary ones, like the ones in the Alien series…
I still have nightmares about those aliens sometimes…
If aliens are real, I hope they aren’t like that…
If I ever met one, I’d prefer to meet nice ones, like E.T.
I don’t think it’s likely I’ll ever actually get to meet one, though.
But the universe is so big, there has to be life out there somewhere, right?
How about you, do you believe in Aliens?

宇宙人はいるのでしょうか。
そしてもしいるとしたら、どんな人たちなのでしょうか。
私は映画で見るような、とても奇妙なテクノロジーと強力な武器を持っている宇宙人が存在するとは信じがたいと思います。
宇宙人についての物語を読んだり、映画を見たり、テレビゲームで遊んだりするのは楽しいけれど。
スターウォーズ、スタートレック、アバターのようなシリーズでの宇宙人はわくわくします。
そのうえで怖いのもいます、エイリアンシリーズのような…。
私は今でも時々それらのエイリアンの悪夢を見ます…。
もし宇宙人が実在するなら、あんな風でないことを願います…。
もし（どんな時であれ）会うとしたら、素敵な宇宙人のほうに会いたいです、E.T.のような。
でも実際に会う可能性があるとは思えないんだけどね。
でも宇宙はとても広いから、どこかに生命がいるはずだよね？
