What makes a person beautiful to you?

Hi everyone. I am Clair and todays topic is, “What makes a person beautiful to you?”.
With all the social media exposure these days, filters and editing apps have placed unrealistic beauty standards on all of us. With just a click of a button all our flaws disappear and we become perfect, or what we hope others will see as perfection.
I believe too much importance is placed on external beauty, physical beauty, the type of beauty that can be bought in a bottle and that can fade with time and is never guaranteed. I believe true beauty comes from within and if pure and bright enough, it can shine through and reveal itself on the outside.
More specifically, the thing that makes people beautiful to me is in the way they treat others. The way they choose to interact with loved ones, or how they respond to a stranger on the street. Are they able to respect one another for their differences and show love and compassion for those in need.
We are all human and we are all doing the best we can. Kindness doesn’t cost a thing and a smile can go a long way to making someone’s day just a little brighter. May we treat others with kindness and respect and in the way we would like to be treated.
