What’s the best compliment you’ve ever gotten?

Hi everyone. I am Clair and todays topic is, “What’s the best compliment you’ve ever gotten?”
Hmm, well I would have to say, the best compliment I ever received was from a very dear friend of mine. One day she asked me if I thought I was a good judge of character. Slightly amused by her question I replied that of course I thought I was a good judge of character. And I have to say, I really did believe this to be true. She looked at me and said very honestly and without malice, “I don’t believe you are.”
A little confused by her reply but also interested in her assessment of me, I asked her why she thought this. And her answer was, “You always see the best in people, even when they show you the worst, you choose to give them the benefit of the doubt and see the good. Therefore you are a terrible judge of character.”
We both laughed and I have to say I agreed with her.
I always choose to see the good, the positive, the glass half full. My perspective of life is through rose coloured glasses and I am ok with this.
It can be quite liberating to recognise these things in ourselves and find a place of acceptance for the beautiful, colourful humans we are.
